Today I listened to a few minutes of New Dimensions Internet Radio and heard Rachel Bagby speak. She was talking about working with women of the rivers around the world. She said of the Ganges in India: You cannot go to these people and call their Ganges River dirty. She is sacred and she is beautiful. .... The changes that will clean up river pollution must come with respect, from the people, and within the context of their sacred life.
This is a metaphor for all healing, I think. People's stuff is sacred and beautiful, and change will begin when they discover something isn't working for them and change becomes desired.
Thank you Diva Carla for bringing Rachel back to my attention. I remember her from years ago when Full first came out and often wondered what happened to her. I'll listen as soon as I get a few moments to her interview.
